SERENDIPITY

It was a coincidence,
that evoked emotions once too suppressed.
It was chance, yes it was.
After all the missed opportunities,
it was good luck.
After all the longing and waiting,
it was a blessing.
It's impossible to forget what I felt,
for it's then that I knew that absence indeed
does make the heart grow fonder.

Little did I know that my day would end so,
with so much happiness.
Many a time I have marveled at a word,
a word so beautiful to my ears.
Never would I have guessed that a word so fine
would one day become my own .

Indeed the Heavens were on my side,
because yesterday,
Serendipity was mine.
